Gregor Cattanach retires after a successful 36 years as Head Deer Stalker for Lord Lonsdale and his father before him. Gregor and his wife Sarah retire to Cliburn. He is a keen amateur model aviator and a lover of music, playing the bagpipes and we are sure he is looking forward to retirement to be able to give some precious time to his hobbies.
Gregor was proud of his profession, taking great effort in his turnout and appearance and wore the Lonsdale tweed and promoting the Estate and the Earl of Lonsdale with pride.
Lord Lonsdale said it has been a joy to work with Gregor over the past 36 years, the wild deer herds on the Estate are stronger and healthier as a result of his time of stewardship and we wish him a long and happy retirement.
